What’s on your Earnings page
The Earnings page, accessible in Portal under the Home tab in the left navigation, is separated into two tabs: “All activity” and “Payouts”.
All activity: This is where you can track the live status of any of your commission payments or service fees – including what’s been paid, what’s been adjusted, and what’s estimated to be paid to you.
Payouts: This is where you can see what actually reached your bank account. We automatically group individual payments into a transaction when they are sent on the same day.
The page is designed to give you more control and visibility into your income as a Fora advisor. Keep reading to see how to get the most out of each view.
Tracking your Earnings Activity
Activity Summary Tiles
On the top of the page, you can see summary stats across:
Paid: Balance that was paid out to you, including any negative adjustments.
Estimated: What’s estimated to be paid to you in the future.
Past due: Any earnings where the estimated payout date has passed.
On hold: Any earnings that are paused and under review by our team. This should only occur in special circumstances, and you can reach out to finance@fora.travel with any questions.
Summary stats are shown according to any filters you’ve applied on the table below. The default view is within the last 6 and next 6 months.
Earnings Forecast Chart
The forecast shows only your Paid and Estimated earnings, aggregated by month or the relevant time period. The chart is filtered according to any filters you’ve applied to the table below. The default view is your last 6 and next 6 months.
Hover over a bar to see the breakdown of what’s Paid vs. Estimated. You can also compare your earnings to the previous year or time period, shown by the dotted green line.
Activity Table
The table is the control center of the page – here is where you can see a line item level breakdown of your earnings: Payout date, payout amount, payout status, the source of the earnings (booking or service fee), associated Contact, and payout ID if paid.
Any search or filters you apply on the table will also apply on the summary stats and forecast above. You can filter by:
Payout date: Choose a preset such as All time, a specific year, Next 6 months, or Next 90 days—or set a custom date range.
Status: Estimated, Paid, Past due, On hold, Not payable, No payout method.
Type: Booking, Service fee, Adjustment.
Some of the rows have a secondary status or icon next to the payout date. For example, a green arrow next to a row in the “Estimated” status means that the money is in-transit and you can expect it in your bank account by the stated payout date. A negative amount next to a “Paid” row means it was a negative adjustment applied on your balance and payout.
How Payout Dates are Estimated
Partners pay commission on very different timelines. Thus, our payout estimates are directional and not meant to serve as a precise date for when your payment will arrive. We keep our estimates conservative and will continue to refine them as our data and methodology improves.
Our methodology as of Aug 2026:
Cruises bookings: Cruises typically pay on multiple installments, with the first installment coming before sail date and final reconciliation 30-60 days after sail date. The payout estimate you see now is only for the first installment: 30 days before sail date (this will vary by cruise line).
Insurance bookings: These bookings are generally paid 45 days after the booking date because insurers process commissions on a roughly monthly cycle.
Flight bookings: Given flights often come with modifications, cancellations, and rebookings which impact your commission, we typically pay out your commission 15-45 days after the flight to reduce the risk of commission reversals.
Bookings with all other partner types: Conservative 95 days after departure, factoring in reconciliation and processing times.
You may see your estimates fluctuate as we refine our methodology to make them more accurate.
Tracking your Payouts
The Payouts tab is where you can see what’s actually been deposited into your bank account. Click into a payout row to see the specific bookings, service fees, and adjustments included in your payout.
Summary stats on top show you total paid, paid bookings, paid service fees, and your average payout amount.
FAQ
Why did my estimated date change?
Estimates can shift if the departure date changes, the partner on the booking changes, or our finance team makes a manual adjustment.
My payment is Past Due, should I be worried?
If it is a commission payment, no action is required. This just means our original estimated date has passed, and our team is actively chasing the partner (related article: How Fora follows up on unpaid commissions). If you would like to help, feel free to send in the direct hotel contact you booked with to help us work with the proper contact for your booking to finance@fora.travel.
If it is a service fee, please remind your client to make payment or cancel the invoice.
